Compression Techniques - a paper published in The Venturian

The following is an article written by Jules Brenner and published in the November 1997 issue of The Venturian, the newsletter of the New York Ventura Publisher User's Group.

The subject of file compression is relevant to most computer users and, for those who have wondered about the various methods and schemes for conserving disk space, especially as it relates to graphic files, this article may be useful. Though it is addressed to Ventura Publisher users, the principles relate to anyone in the computer graphic media. We hope you'll find it useful.

The two pages are in a rather high resolution in order to be readable on screen. Consequently, it'll require some scrolling.
